The Overseas Nurses Programme
Course Description
For overseas qualified nurses to enable them to adapt previous education and experience to working in a UK healthcare environment and was developed to be comparable to the requirements made of UK trained nurses.
The core component of the programme is 20 days protected learning time (which everyone must undertake) plus, where appropriate, a period of supervised practice in a healthcare setting. |

Course Description
The programme is a nationally recognized vocational qualification accredited by OCR., one of the UK‘s leading awarding bodies. Designed for staffs who deliver physical, emotional or enabling care to clients who have a medium to high degree of dependency, whether they work in health or social care, or in the public, private or voluntary sectors.
The award has links to the NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care award, but reflects a higher level of responsibility and specialization. As such, it is a potential progression route from Level 2. |
